We really enjoyed the days with Jan. Even the reception was very nice and uncomplicated. Since Jan lives directly opposite, it would certainly have always been possible for us to contact him with questions or problems, but that didn't happen because everything was great and corresponded to our expectations. The parking space at the white house was made for us, because we could enjoy the tranquility of the idyllic parking space, but still got a bit of something from other people, e.g. passing cyclists or a pony carriage. So right to switch off, anytime again.

I would love to give more stars if it were possible! Very nice place, surrounded by nature and countless possibilities for organizing the day. Jan and Ilona are incredibly personable and very helpful. We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, we couldn't start our short vacation because of the onset of the flu. We were able to arrange this with the host in a very friendly and mutually agreeable manner. We'll make up for it. Everything went very well.

We stayed with Jan and Ilona for a week and felt very comfortable. Jan and Ilona are warm and open hosts who were also available for an interesting chat. :) There are a total of 3 parking spaces at the Eschen-Hof, which are well separated from each other so that you don't get in each other's way even when they are full. Everything you need is there: electricity, sewage, fresh water and an excellent WiFi network, which we could even use to watch TV in the evenings. The farm is only about 150 m from the edge of the forest, which was particularly useful for walking the dog. Otherwise you can hike, cycle or jog for hours through the adjacent forests and fields without encountering too many people and cars. The coast, e.g. in Bensersiel and Neuharlingersiel, is within easy cycling distance (approx. 10-15 km each way); but you can also make nice day trips by car. For example, we were in Greetsiel, which is definitely worth a visit. Shopping opportunities are also plentiful. Esens can be reached in 20 minutes by bike and there you will find all the usual supermarkets and nice cafes (Schlickys is highly recommended for those with a sweet tooth). If you prefer a hearty fish meal, we recommend the fish bear. The owner is a real roughneck, but knows his trade. The Eschen-Hof is now one of our favorite pitches and we are already looking forward to our next visit!
