Welcome to Orsi and Chris Olive Orchard! On your way from north to south (or vice versa), you’ll find us on our natural 1.7-hectare traditional olive orchard in the heart of Central Portugal, near the beautiful and culture-rich city of Alcanena. Every day from 5 pm we offer a guided 90-minute Olive Orchard Experience, where you’ll learn about our old olive breeds, care practices such as pruning and sustainable management that makes chemical use unnecessary, our unique harvesting process, and olive oil pressing. Olive trees are truly impressive specimens! Our oldest tree is approximately 2,500 years old, while most others are between 150 and 400 years. We are just a small part of their lives and are happy to support them. We’re sure you’ll enjoy the beauty, quietness, and connection to this little piece of land as much as we do. But there’s more! 
Alcanena ranks as Portugal’s third most cultural city, after Lisbon and Porto! Besides museums and art, there are many mostly free music events. We’re also happy to share hidden gems for river beaches, bike or hiking tours in or around the nearby Serra de Aire Natural Park, and tips for the best local caves and restaurants. If that’s not enough, it’s only a 30-minute drive to the former Knights Templar capital, Tomar, and about 50 minutes to the famous Nazaré, home to the world’s biggest waves. Horse lovers will enjoy nearby Golegã, where every November the world’s largest Arabian horse fair takes place. Please note: This is a natural olive grove, not a campsite. We do not provide water nor electricity, and there is no facility for grey-water disposal. However, we can guide you to a free public spot to prepare your fully self-sustainable vehicle.
