About the site
A beautiful campsite with panoramic views of the Hessian Rhön region (Wasserkuppe, Milseburg, Kreuzberg, Hessian Kegelspiel). Nearby, you can explore a traditional Hessian half-timbered village with a Baroque church. Alternatively, you can climb Stoppelsberg with its medieval Hauneck castle ruins, offering panoramic views of the Knüll, Vogelsberg, and Rhön mountains. The mystical Lange Steine (Long Stones) invite you to take a short hike into the past. Guided tours can be booked upon request. To the parking space: Parking space with a large terrace on an 18th-century three-sided farmstead. Seating and a fire pit are available.

Wir haben ein herrliches Wochenende bei Thomas und seiner Familie verbracht, das wir so schnell nicht vergessen werden. Der Empfang war herzlich und wir haben uns einfach wohl gefühlt. Man hat einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Wasserkuppe und herrliche Ruhe zum Entspannen. Spaziergänge mit den Hunden waren wunderbar. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Nochmals vielen Dank für Alles. Ein wunderschönes Fleckchen Erde ist das hier bei Thomas und seiner Familie. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt. Es gab viele interessante Informationen über das Land und die Natur hier und der Umgebung. Ein toller Startpunkt für größere und kleinere Wanderungen. Wir werden sicherlich mit dem Fahrrad bald wiederkommen und die tollen Möglichkeiten für Fahrradtouren nutzen. Vielen Dank für diese tolle Möglichkeit den Alltag einmal hinter sich zu lassen.
Und wieder hatte ich ein glückliches Händchen: ein netter Empfang, tolle Lage, viel Platz, eine Burgruine und interessante Lange Steine am Wanderweg. Thomas hat umfangreiches Informationsmaterial für seine Gäste und wenn jemand noch mehr wissen möchte, Antworten auf viele Fragen. Wenn ich wieder in dieser Gegend bin, mache ich hier wieder Halt.

Sehr nette Gastgeber auf einer Wiese mit fantastischem Weitblick! Einschlafen und Aufwachen mit Vogelgezwitscher. Perfekter Übernachtungsplatz auf dem Weg nach Süden. Vielen Dank, Fam. Schmidt für die Gastfreundschaft und interessante Einblicke in die Dorfgeschichte. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
Die Aussicht ist unschlagbar und der Vermieter sehr freundlich. Können den Platz empfehlen und würden gerne wiederkommen.
