About the site
Our property is in the Prignitz on the border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. If you want to be particularly secluded, the meadow by our old oak tree is the right place for you. We leave this part of the property to nature. Whatever wants to grow grows here and on warm summer nights you can see hundreds of fireflies floating over the meadow. Our house is far enough away that you can have some privacy if you want. You look out onto a piece of forest that used to be the park of the neighboring estate and is now a nature reserve. In the evening, the setting sun bathes this spot in a wonderful golden light, and when our neighbor's horses run across the paddock, it's almost kitschy and romantic. The access to this parking space is a bit narrow, but maneuvering is no problem for anything up to the size of a van. As we are currently in the middle of renovating our 150-year-old house, we unfortunately don't have a guest bathroom. But by arrangement you can use our shower, toilet or even the washing machine for a small fee. From here you can set off on hikes or bike tours in the surrounding area. By car you can reach the Mecklenburg Lake District in 20 minutes, where you can swim, paddle and canoe. If you have any questions, please write a message before booking.

Wir wurden super spontan und herzlich empfangen. Der Platz ist absolut idyllisch - trotz Regen - herrlich natürlich und unfertig. So mögen wir es. Wir kommen gerne wieder und schauen wie sich alles entwickelt.
Der Birkenhof ist sehr schön gelegen und wird von Martina und René gerade sehr liebevoll wieder zum Leben erweckt. Unser Stellplatz war ruhig, umgeben von Bäumen und Gräsern und genau richtig, für jeden, der sich ein Stück Natur und Ruhe wünscht. Martina und René kümmern sich wirklich toll und sehr rücksichtsvoll um ihre Gäste und wir haben die Gespräche am Lagerfeuer sehr genossen. Wir kommen wieder!
Schöner ruhiger Platz im Grünen und freundlichste unomplizierte Gastgeber...ein zweiter Besuch nach einer Woche fühlt sich schon sehr vertraut an...beim Sitzen an der Feuerschale und Bewundern des Sternenhimmels....gern wieder!

Leider haben wir keine Nacht dort verbracht, da wir (mangels Internet) Schwierigkeiten mit der Kommunikation hatten. Am nächsten Tag, als wir wieder Internet hatten, gab es einen sehr netten Dialog mit den Vermietern und wir bekamen ohne Probleme das Geld für die zweite Nacht, die wir gebucht, aber nicht genutzt hatten, zurück. :)
