The site is located directly on the Elbe dam and on the Dresden-Hamburg cycle path. THERE ARE NO TOILETS OR ELECTRICITY, SO YOU MUST BE SELF-SUFFICIENCY! The ground is a firm, permeable meadow. Access to the site is via the well-developed, wide cycle path about 500m from Kirchstrasse. Freight and passenger shipping can be seen up close. South of the site lies the former district and sports town of Riesa. To the west, on a hill, you can see the small town of Strehla. There is direct access to the waterskiing area on the river. In Zeithain, there is a fire department museum, as well as two riding stables and shopping opportunities. In Kreinitz, there is the Museum of the Encounter on the Elbe in April 1945. A stork's nest is on the right at the entrance to the site. Deer, pheasants, and wild birds can be seen and heard in the "Gohliser Loch." On the opposite bank of the Elbe, a pair of ospreys can be seen on an overhead power line pylon. A sports field with a playground is located in the nearby forest, about 1,000 meters away on the S 88 bypass. A sports canteen is available in the building. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Family tents can be pitched free of charge. A shady elm tree with a bench is located on the adjacent property. The Elbe Cycle Path is also a walking route for residents of neighboring villages.
