About the site
The campsite is located just outside Gijón, a 25-30 minute bike ride from the city and the beach. (Please note, the last 100 meters are very steep and only suitable for athletic cyclists or e-bike riders; everyone else will have to push their bikes.) We have a few animals (chickens, sheep, cat), a vegetable garden and fruit trees, and we're involved in fermentation, building with natural materials, and much more on our small permaculture project. You're looking out at the hilly, green surroundings. Notes: Our toilet is a composting toilet. We like to pee on the grass. - The entrance is somewhat narrow and stony, therefore difficult for larger vehicles.

Thanks to a very attentive host and his beautiful pitch, which truly feels like wild camping. Unfortunately, this is less often the case with Vansite pitches. Max is very attentive and helpful. The access road is a bit bumpy; I wouldn't recommend it with a motorhome, but it's definitely doable with a van. We'll definitely be back. Thanks to Max and family. Oh, and another plus: they actually speak German and aren't just checked off in the app, and then they don't even speak English or German.
Max is a very nice host and he and his family have built a really beautiful home. The view of the valley has a kind of miniature Hobbiton feel to it. Highly recommended! The shower was warm with excellent water pressure, and refilling the fresh water tank worked perfectly. There are also several large bins in the village where we disposed of our rubbish.
